I followed several different career paths including housing and education before making the decision to become a celebrant, and I then completed my training on a one-to-one basis with a very experienced celebrant, a former registrar who was a founder member of the Association of Independent Celebrants. I love my job and all that it entails – from the enquiry and planning stages, through to the ceremony itself and the new friendships that I make along the way.
I am proud that three generations of my family have been heavily involved in ceremonies in one way or another. My father was a Deputy Superintendent Registrar in the early stages of his local government career and my daughter is a professional singer (www.katiefrancesca.co.uk) who has sung for special occasions in beautiful locations for the last 10 years. We all feel it is a pleasure and a privilege to be a part of such special moments in time.
